Getting started

  1. What do I need to make a Bounce?

    Start with a clean exported track and at least one visual: a video, image, or supported 3D model.

  2. Can I loop my audio or choose a shorter loop from a longer track?

    Yes. You can repeat the full track or choose an automatically detected loop section when Bounce finds suitable options.

  3. Can I use a still image instead of video?

    Yes. Bounce can animate still artwork with reactive layouts, motion, and visual effects.

  4. Can I find stock images or videos in Bounce?

    Yes. Search Unsplash for images and Pexels for video directly from the visual picker, without leaving Bounce.

  5. Are Unsplash and Pexels creators credited in Bounce?

    Creator and source links appear in Bounce wherever an Unsplash or Pexels result is displayed. Exported Bounces do not include these credits.

  6. Which audio, video, image, and 3D file formats can I use?

    Bounce supports MP3, WAV, AIFF, FLAC, and M4A audio; MOV, MP4, M4V, and WebM video; JPG, PNG, and WebP images; and GLB or OBJ 3D models.

  7. Can I add more than one visual clip to a Bounce?

    Yes. Add multiple videos or images and choose the active visual. Some layouts show multiple clips at once; others play them in sequence.

Phone recordings and audio sync

  1. Can I record a video directly from my phone?

    Yes. Scan the QR code from Bounce, use your phone's camera or file picker, and upload over your local Wi-Fi connection.

  2. How does Bounce synchronize my phone video with my clean track?

    Play your track aloud while recording. Bounce compares the recording's audio with your clean export, then aligns the video to the clean track when it finds a reliable match.

Editing in Bounce

  1. How do I reorder or remove visual clips?

    Drag clips into the order you want in the visual strip, or use the remove control on an individual clip.

  2. How do I crop, zoom, rotate, or reposition my visuals?

    Use the framing controls and adjust the visual directly in the preview. You can also enable automatic zoom or rotation for a single visual.

  3. What are the different motion layouts?

    Layouts include Mosaic, Edge Stretch, Three-strip Stack, Color Stretch, Tiled Glass, Split Crop, Panner, and 3D Spin. Some layouts are best for a single visual, while stacked and split layouts can show multiple clips at once.

  4. How do I make visuals react to the beat or bass in my music?

    Bounce analyzes your audio and can drive layouts, movement, and selected effects from detected peaks and frequency ranges. Adjust the reaction intensity and low- and high-frequency motion to shape the result.

  5. Can I tap in my own visual reactions instead of using automatic beat detection?

    Yes. Select tap-based reaction, then tap during playback to create custom triggers. Hold a tap for a sustained freeze, and optionally quantize taps to timing.

  6. Can I reverse a visual at the end of its loop?

    Yes. Enable Reverse at end to play a visual forward and then backward instead of abruptly restarting.

  7. Which effects can I add, and can they react to the audio?

    Available effects include glow, light leak, RGB drift, color inversion, and more. Several effects offer an audio-reactive setting.

  8. Does Bounce save my work automatically?

    Yes. Bounce saves your current audio, visuals, framing, loops, taps, and effect settings locally, then restores the draft the next time you open the app.

Exporting and sharing

  1. Can I cancel a render or export in progress?

    Yes. You can cancel rendering or exporting, and Bounce cleans up temporary render files afterward.

  2. How do I export a Bounce, send it to my phone, or share it to social platforms?

    Create the Bounce, export it as a video file, send it to your phone with a QR code, or open sharing shortcuts for Instagram, TikTok, YouTube, and other destinations.

  3. Can I create a Spotify Canvas, and what length can it be?

    Yes. Bounce can export a Spotify Canvas from your finished visual. Choose a duration from three to eight seconds; Spotify Canvas videos do not include audio.
